Your Workplace

As a Development Leader, you will be part of the municipality's central unit for staff and communication. The unit's mission is to ensure delivery and progress in municipal processes, work for increased efficiency in administration, and offer professional communicative support to the municipality's operations.

The staff unit is new and will consist of twelve employees, five of whom have different competencies in quality, digitization, innovation, sustainability, governance, and management. Six of the employees support the administration in strategic and operational communication issues. Together with the municipality's secretariat unit and business unit, the staff unit is led by the Deputy Municipal Director.

Your Mission

As a Development Leader, you have a broad and strategically important role. You are responsible for driving and following up on processes and projects with a focus on delivery, quality, and efficiency, ensuring that the work is conducted in accordance with established governance documents. The work also involves conducting investigations and assignments from the Municipal Director, Deputy Municipal Director, and management, often based on political decisions. You monitor relevant areas and can quickly adapt the work to changing conditions.

In this role, you act as a generalist with broad expertise and work process-oriented to introduce and develop effective working methods. You are responsible for feedback and follow-up, and drive cross-municipal issues that contribute to the development of operations.

One of the positions has a certain focus on the municipality's environmental work but is not limited to that. Investigative and development work in several areas will be relevant based on the needs of the operations. However, the position includes particularly working with the municipality's project Climate-Neutral Härryda Municipality 2030. The project is a commitment in Viable Cities, which is a national innovation program for climate-neutral and sustainable cities, where 48 municipalities and 6 authorities participate. Together with RISE, Lindholmen Science Park, and actors within the local civil society, the project aims to achieve climate neutrality.

Requirements for the Position

We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree or equivalent experience deemed comparable. You have experience leading development projects with a focus on delivery and efficiency. You have a good understanding of governance documents and their practical application, and you work process-oriented with operational development. The role requires you to be accustomed to collaborating with various stakeholders, both internally and externally. You also have a very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.

You have experience compiling large amounts of information and conducting investigations in various areas. You easily take on new tasks and have a clear methodology in your investigative work. It is advantageous if you have experience writing service documents and presenting matters to both political leadership and management. It is also advantageous if you have experience working in a politically governed organization and if you have experience facilitating groups on various issues.

To obtain employment, a certificate from the Police's criminal record must be presented.
